Industrial Sales Specialist - North FL

About the role

Outside Sales Solutions Specialist covering the North Florida territory from Jacksonville to Tallahassee and south to Palatka and Gainesville. The role focuses on industries where material moves on conveyor belts, including cement plants, paper mills, recycling centers, quarries, asphalt producers, block and gypsum manufacturers, distribution centers, and port terminals.

You will identify wear in conveyor systems before breakdowns occur and propose solutions—whether it's belts, splices, components, fabrication, or on-site crews. The company provides inside sales, estimating, fabrication, and 24/7 service support. Customers rely on you to minimize downtime, and the company backs your commitments. This is a problem-solving role, not a price-driven sales position.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the North Florida territory with an established book of business.
• Walk customer systems to identify wear and potential failures before they cause downtime.
• Propose and sell solutions, including belts, splices, components, fabrication, or on-site service crews.
• Build and manage your own schedule; no appointments are handed to you.
• Respond to customer emergencies outside normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while leveraging company resources.

Requirements

• Three or more years of success in industrial outside sales, business development, or account management.
• Experience owning a territory or book of accounts, with specific results to demonstrate success.
• Strong mechanical aptitude to understand industrial equipment and applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage a territory with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Reside within the assigned North Florida territory (relocation assistance not provided).
• Successful completion of background check and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five or more years of industrial outside sales experience.
• Experience selling conveyor systems, industrial services, maintenance, fabrication, or components.
• Background with customers in mining, aggregate, paper, cement, terminal, manufacturing, or power generation industries.
• Existing relationships with maintenance and operations decision-makers in Northeast Florida.
• Comfortable working in a CRM and on mobile platforms.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Extensive driving throughout the assigned territory.
• Walking through manufacturing plants, quarries, terminals, and industrial facilities.
• Climbing stairs, ladders, catwalks, conveyors, and elevated work areas (up to 200 feet).
• Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and outdoor conditions; required PPE includes hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots.
• Occasionally lifting and carrying materials up to 75 pounds.
• Availability to respond to customer needs outside normal business hours as required.
