Industrial Refrigeration Mechanic–Bilingual (English & Spanish)

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities)

As an Industrial Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance, setup, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and operation of industrial freezers/refrigerators and related production equipment used in a manufacturing environment.

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of industrial freezers/refrigerators and related production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
• Maintains industrial freezer/refrigerators performance and identifies potential issues before equipment failures occur.
• Prepares industrial freezers/refrigerators, machinery, and related production equipment for scheduled production runs.
• Diagnostics malfunctions and performs necessary repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Prepares daily routine preventive maintenance and maintains accurate daily repair logs.
• Tracks inventory machinery/equipment with their respective spare parts.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Qualifications)

• A high school diploma or GED required; technical school, vocational training, or equivalent industrial maintenance or refrigeration experience preferred.
• Must be bilingual (English & Spanish).
• 3-5 years’ of experience in an industrial maintenance mechanic role, preferably supporting industrial freezers, refrigeration systems, or related equipment in a manufacturing, packaging, or cold storage environment.
• Knowledge with the following: accepted practices and processes in the maintenance trades; electric motors, relays, PLCs, electro-mechanical equipment and systems found in machinery, including industrial freezer and refrigeration systems; servicing and maintenance of industrial equipment, including simple power, heating and cooling units.
• Ability to read and understand product specifications.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. multiple times a day.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and stand for extended period of time.
