Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Bilingual (English & Spanish)

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities)

• Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance services.
• Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Prepares machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Diagnostics malfunctions and performs necessary repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Performs daily routine preventive maintenance and maintains accurate daily repair logs.
• Tracks inventory machinery/equipment with their respective spare parts.
• Complies with OSHA safety and health rules.
• May be requested to provide training to future machine operators in their respective roles.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Qualifications)

• A high school diploma or GED, with technical school, vocational training, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish), with 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance mechanic role, or related position, preferably in a manufacturing/packaging environment.
• Knowledge with accepted practices and processes in the maintenance trades; electric motors, relays, PLCs, electro-mechanical equipment and systems found in machinery; servicing and maintenance of simple power, heating and cooling units.
• Ability to read and understand product specifications.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. multiple times a day.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and stand for extended period of time.
