Industrial Radiographic Testing Tech Trainee

Responsibilities

• Accurate scanning in and out on jobs and the proper reporting of processed quantities.
• Wear proper safety equipment; keep work area clean and safe at all times.
• Understand customer requirements, our companies internal scrap challenges, rework, customer returns, and demonstrate ability to deliver quality & efficient workmanship.
• Review & inspect all material being used, building self-inspection into everything you make/process.
• Complete, date and sign-off on all routing information.
• Perform job tasks in an efficient manner according to given standards.
• Learn CM procedures M13 & SP400, traveler process, scanning, and demonstrate competency to perform.
• Learn all procedures and specifications needed to properly x-ray and evaluate castings per customer requirements using approved techniques to verify compliance.
• X-Ray castings to approved techniques; must have Level 1 / 2 approval and sign-off on all x-ray shots.
• Organize, document x-ray results, label and file for interpretation in the reading room.
• Perform and verify calibrations.
• Rework to remove flash, sand, metal, defects or other debris from castings.
• Serialize parts per CM procedure and route ticket and log book instructions.
• Clean film processor, cassettes and work area according to maintenance procedure.
• Log information on required checklists.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
