CT Scan Tech Trainee
Major Responsibilities
- Students of the Pulse program will complete self-paced didactic training.
- Clinical shifts will be completed as a part of the training.
- All completed exams will be loaded onto the ARRT website.
- Upon completion of the Pulse Program, caregivers shall move into an open CT Tech position at that entity.
Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities
- Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
- Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
Position Qualifications
- License/Certification/Education Required: Enrollment in the Pulse Program through UMMH. RTR licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Must take the initial exam for the ARRT certification in CT Scan within 3 months of the completion of the required competencies. Exam delays will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
- Must pass the ARRT CT certification exam within 12 months.
- BLS certification.
Experience/Skills Required
- Maintain all area specific CEUs for ARRT, DPH according to regulation.
