CT Scan Tech Trainee

Major Responsibilities

• Completes self-paced didactic training.
• Attends clinical shifts as part of the training.
• Loads completed exams onto the ARRT website.
• Transitions into an open CT Tech position after completing the program.

Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities

• Complies with departmental policies and procedures.
• Attends meetings and conferences as required.
• Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
• Complies with health and safety regulations.
• Respects diverse views and approaches.
• Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in the Pulse Program through UMMH.
• RTR licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Must take the initial ARRT certification exam for CT Scan within 3 months of completing required competencies.
• Must pass the ARRT CT certification exam within 12 months.
• Maintain all area specific CEUs for ARRT and DPH according to regulation.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions

• Work is considered medium.
• Indoor work in a normal patient care environment.
