Responsibilities

• Actively participate in a training program to interpret images, learn radiation safety, and operate equipment.
• Practice interpretation of production radiographs in accordance with procedure/contract requirements.
• Operate regulated ionizing radiation producing machines and the associated radiation detection instruments under direct supervision.
• Verify all are certified for accuracy and ensure a current calibration certificate is on file.
• May be asked to instruct operations personnel assigned to X-ray in proper procedures and operation of the radiographic systems.
• Maintain log book tracking training hours.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• X-ray or Non Destructive Testing experience preferred
• Ability to obtain Level I Radiography certification
• Ability to obtain Industrial Radiographer License

Skills

• Skills and knowledge to process parts, document results and perform equipment standardization in accordance with approved work instructions.
• Ability to carry out necessary preparation of parts before or after inspection in accordance with approved work instructions.
• Conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
• Ability to follow work instructions.
• Accuracy and thoroughness.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, SAP.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $25.50/HR (Plus $1/HR increase following required training).
