Industrial Pallet Repair, 2nd shift - Kilgore, TX

About the role

We’re looking for motivated Pallet Repair Operators to join our Kilgore, TX team on the 2nd shift. This is a hands-on, demanding role at the frontline of CHEP’s supply chain—the heart of our business. You’ll work with automation and new technology, repair pallets using pneumatic tools, and help connect 300,000 supply chains for some of the world’s biggest brands. Safety, continuous improvement, and employee well-being are top priorities.

Responsibilities

• Follow repair guidelines to execute the full repair of all pallet components, including removal and replacement of defective boards.
• Assemble pallets from stock boards based on type of pallet desired.
• Strive to meet daily production targets.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify defects or irregularities in pallet construction; ensure adherence to repair guidelines and quality standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery; wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) daily.
• Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
• Troubleshoot jams and perform basic maintenance of saws.

Requirements

• Familiarity with operation and maintenance of production tools such as pneumatic nail guns or other relevant equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• 2+ years of previous experience working in an industrial, fast-moving setting with industrial machinery (preferred, not required).
• Essential: English language skills. Desirable: Spanish.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry 78 lbs at least 63% of the work shift.
• Push items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.
• Pull items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.

Working Conditions

• Warehouse or manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Pay

$21/hour plus a $0.75/hour differential for 2nd shift. A $2/hour increase is awarded once production requirements are met.

Schedule

2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.
