About the role

Seneca Foods in Geneva, NY is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Pallet Repair person to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Sort pallets into groups: repairable and non-repairable.
• Add boards or stringers to repairable pallets using tools.
• Stack all pallets in neat, orderly stacks.
• Maintain proper housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend instructions.
• Ability to use skilled hand tools (electric saws, air-powered nail gun).
• Ability to use small hand tools (hammer, crowbar).
• Ability to use Sky Hook to stack pallets.
• High school education or equivalent.
• One to three months of experience and/or training; mechanical experience helpful.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, talk, hear, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, or squat.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Constant walking/standing on concrete floors and elevated surfaces.
• Physical ability and knowledge to use skilled hand tools.

Working Conditions

• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
• Frequent exposure to loud noise.
• Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Adhere to all safety equipment requirements, including bump hat, hairnet, ear protection.
• Safety glasses required in some areas.

Schedule

This position follows the "Traditional Work Schedule" 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday. Note: The seasonal nature of our business often requires working overtime, so hours may fluctuate due to business necessity and meeting operational needs.

Pay

Wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience from $19.00 to $31.50 per hour.
