About the role
C&W Services is the industry leader in cutting-edge maintenance and janitorial programs for facilities ranging from corporate office portfolios to manufacturing plants and large public venues. This position is located in Blair, Nebraska.
Responsibilities
- Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment.
- Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and work procedures.
- Operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
- Ensure compliance with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate with all team members to assist in short- and long-range planning.
- Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
Requirements
- Possess a high school degree or an approved GED.
- Average 5+ years' experience in industrial maintenance or 4+ years of education in industrial maintenance technologies/engineering.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Knowledge of using hand/power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
- Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends.

- Ability to observe details at close range.
- Control Precision — The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
- Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
- Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Information Ordering — The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).

Pay
The compensation for the position is: $32.20 - $37.88. The actual amount offered will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position requires working Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri from 7a-5:30p.
