About the role
Join a fast-paced distribution center as an Industrial Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining a state-of-the-art automated material-handling system. You will prioritize safety, maximize system performance, and perform both electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Approach all tasks and situations with a safety-first mindset, ensuring the well-being of yourself and your team.
- Enhance system performance and minimize downtime through effective maintenance activities.
- Engage in a wide range of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
- Assist the production team with basic fault correction, coaching, and troubleshooting.
- Aid in the installation of new components or the refurbishment of existing system components.
- Drive continuous improvement activities through comprehensive system knowledge and site-specific enhancements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in industrial technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of one to two years of experience in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role; five years or more preferred.
- Strong skills in electrical systems (3-phase, 480 V, DC, and 24 V controls) and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with drive technology (motors/gears) and control technology (PLC/controls/inverters).
- Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary system-monitoring programs.
- Experience maintaining material-handling systems in a light-industry or distribution-center environment is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
- Working at heights of up to 80–100 feet while wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE.
- Lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
