About the role

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment. This role focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting the production team through proactive maintenance and technical expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely in a busy manufacturing environment, maintaining LOTO certification and adhering to NFPA 70E standards and company safety policies.
  • Execute production run changeovers, including precise equipment setup and adjustments.
  • Analyze and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Complete CMMS-generated (Maximo) preventative maintenance and work orders.
  • Perform daily/weekly Autonomous Maintenance tasks, including lubrication, calibration, rebuilds, and component replacement.
  • Actively participate in daily shift changes and openly communicate across all departments and management levels to resolve issues and drive a "Winning Team" approach.
  • Document equipment breakdowns and maintenance activities using World Class Manufacturing problem-solving methodology.
  • Perform and record quality checks according to specification sheets; follow escalation protocols to prevent production delays.

Physical demands

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier items with assistance.
  • Must be able to continuously stand or walk for extended periods and frequently bend and squat.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with a heavy focus on electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Must pass a technical aptitude test for consideration.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Working knowledge of AB PLC logic, Relay logic, and Servo-driven equipment.
  • Proficiency with AC/DC electrical equipment and meters (Voltage, Multi-meter).
  • Deep understanding of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and interpret Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical, and Part drawings.
  • Proficient use of hand tools (wrenches, sockets), machine tools (drill press, welder, saws, grinders), and measuring devices.
  • Proficient in PC/Mainframe systems, including MS Office (Word, Excel) and CMMS software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related technical discipline.
