Industrial Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler, Pipe & Fittings (Wichita Falls, TX)

About the role

Assist the plant in providing the necessary maintenance resources and record-keeping to increase plant productivity, improve work efficiency, and enhance plant performance. Responsible for maintaining production equipment availability and performance at satisfactory levels through planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting repair activities. Ensure resources are available and adequate to complete these tasks. Preparation of reports, metrics, and other tracking tools will support success in this role. The Maintenance Planner Scheduler will support all company policies, goals, and objectives while representing the company professionally.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage purchase requisitions for parts and services needed to support maintenance activities.
• Manage maintenance spare parts inventory.
• Maintain files for maintenance-related purchase requisitions.
• Maintain specification records for production equipment and mold bases.
• Track shipments of repair parts or locate in stock; deliver to appropriate location or individual as needed.
• Enter all applicable supplier information into the CMMS system.
• Monitor data in the CMMS system to ensure work orders are created for any work requiring labor time of 30 minutes or more. Ensure all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes associated with the work are accurately recorded.
• Help ensure the appropriate root cause is captured within work orders prior to being closed.
• Coordinate upcoming project needs and plans with the Maintenance Superintendent.
• Order parts necessary to complete planned jobs and expedite parts if necessary to meet priorities.
• Manage and schedule equipment Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities such as inspections, oil changes, and lubrications.
• Plan all maintenance activities to be completed during scheduled production downtime under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent.
• Communicate the maintenance work schedule to operations and maintenance supervision. Gain alignment and ensure compliance.
• Arrange and coordinate outside resources/services as needed.
• Schedule, coordinate, and procure all sub-contractor assistance, rental equipment, and/or specialty tools necessary to execute planned jobs.
• Provide input to management and suggest improvements for efficiency.
• Evaluate and analyze equipment history and predictive maintenance data and trends to anticipate plant maintenance needs.
• Notify the Maintenance Superintendent of any problems or issues with inventory, planning, and scheduling.
• Maintain Hot Work permit files.
• Perform other related duties as designated by supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (required).
• Associate degree in a technical field (preferred).
• 5–7 years of experience in maintenance.
• 2 years of experience in injection molding, production, and/or manufacturing.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with CMMS Software (Fiix preferred).
• General understanding of repair parts, electrical, welding, and mechanical equipment.
• Extensive knowledge and ability to plan and schedule maintenance activities.
• Experience with purchasing, vendor management, inventory management, and labor/material planning.
• Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement.
• Knowledge of forklift operation and maintenance repair (preferred).
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and requirements (preferred).
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in a corporate environment.
• Ability to operate well in a team environment.
• Must be able to commute daily to the Wichita Falls, TX plant (fully onsite role).

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with overtime as needed (45–50 hours/week).

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to touch/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

This position operates in a transitioning work environment, including office/computer, manufacturing plant, and outdoor settings. The noise level in the plant is usually high, typical for a manufacturing environment. Some work may require the use of PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, fall protection, and hard hats.
