Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans and schedules all maintenance work including day-to-day activities, one-day outages, and major shutdowns.
- Provides leadership and coaching to the maintenance team in driving them to achieve work objectives and performance standards.
- Aids the plant in providing necessary maintenance resources and record keeping to increase plant productivity.
- Assists in maintenance work preparations to improve work efficiencies and increase plant performance.
- Supports the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) inclusive of asset management, work planning, and spare parts inventory.
- Coordinates the interface of the CMMS system, procedures, and data transfer to various departments and databases.
- Ensures all CMMS procedures are developed and followed throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Advanced degree/certification(s) in technical and/or maintenance related discipline preferred.
- Two to five (2-5) years of industrial experience in a chemical plant or other related industry experience.
- Experience working in a union environment a plus.
- One to three (1-3) years’ maintenance and supervisory experience.
- Minimum of one to three (1-3) years’ maintenance planner/scheduler experience.
- Working knowledge of chemical plant equipment (pumps, piping, heat exchangers, vessels, instrumentation, etc.).
- Background in maintenance and repair of equipment to effectively plan daily maintenance department activities.
- Experience working and managing on a PSM site.
- PHA and MOC experience are strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of chemical manufacturing systems and processes.
- Strong “troubleshooting/diagnostic” skills.
- Experience working and managing in both batch and continuous operations.
- Knowledge of Federal/State EPA and OSHA compliance standards.
- Six Sigma knowledge and training a plus.
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience using ERP preferred.
- Prior experience in stores MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operating) materials Inventory Management.
- Proficient with ERP systems a plus.

- Manage union hourly workforce.
- Plan and schedule maintenance work.
