About the Role

We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Lead to ensure optimal efficiency by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. This developmental role is designed to prepare you for a supervisory position, often acting as Industrial Maintenance Supervisor in the supervisor's absence. You will also contribute to the professional development and technical expertise of the industrial maintenance team.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection, and general shop practices.
- Perform maintenance tasks with knowledge of support equipment, critical and non-critical components, and operational sequencing.
- Apply skills in electrical welding, gas welding, soldering, pipe fittings, and metal fabrication.
- Identify, inspect, and rebuild mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Verify and correct mechanical timing, perform lubrication, and conduct preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and replace mechanical drive and conveyor components.
- Identify, wire, and troubleshoot electrical components, including servo drives, motor controls, and VFDs.
- Troubleshoot PLC components and hardware, and update electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Train for supervision by shadowing shifts, managing SAP and reporting, and verifying preventive maintenance work.
- Provide coverage for supervisor PTO and conduct daily plant walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness and shift readiness.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with company policies and procedures.
- Attain necessary licenses for working with boilers, refrigeration, and related equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical/Trade School certification or diploma preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a technician with knowledge in industrial electrical wiring, PLC troubleshooting, motor control, equipment repair, and installation preferred.
