About the Role

The Industrial Maintenance Apprenticeship program is a development program designed for those seeking immersive, hands-on training in a fast-paced bakery environment. Apprentices shadow high-performing technicians, learning to achieve optimal efficiency through scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while prioritizing safety and quality standards. The role requires flexibility and adaptability, as apprentices rotate through various bakery areas. Ongoing training is essential due to evolving technological improvements and performance standards.

This role requires the ability to climb fixed and portable ladders up to twenty feet, stoop and bend while lifting weights up to fifty pounds, and climb onto and crawl under machinery as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices.
  • Assist with assigned preventive maintenance tasks and scheduled maintenance.
  • Respond to equipment stoppage or mechanical breakdown as part of a team.
  • Assist in identifying mechanical wear and troubleshooting/replacing mechanical drive and conveyor components.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures (e.g., EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including adherence to work schedules and attendance policies.
  • Possess or attain licenses required by municipal, county, or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components, and other job-related equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be enrolled in a Technical/Trade or College program in industrial maintenance or a related field.

Pay

Salary Range: $26.01 per hour.
