Industrial Maintenance Apprentice

Role Overview

Fresh. Forward. Flowers. Flowers Foods, Inc., a leading producer of packaged bakery goods, offers a unique opportunity for Industrial Maintenance Apprentices to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. This apprenticeship program combines hands-on training with professional development, preparing individuals for successful careers in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices
• Assist with assigned preventive maintenance tasks and scheduled maintenance
• Respond with team to equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown
• Aid in identifying mechanical wear and assisting in troubleshooting and replacing mechanical drive and conveyor components
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enrolled in a Technical/Trade or College program in industrial maintenance or related field
• Must be able to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of twenty feet
• Must be able to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to fifty pounds
• Must be able to climb onto and crawl under machinery as required
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Essential Job Requirements

• Salary Range: $25.00
