About the role

This position involves responsibilities within the IG Logistics department, including procurement of required parts for customer orders and supplies to support the IG Assembly facility, and providing interdepartmental technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and compare quotes from approved vendors for best pricing and part accuracy.
  • Monitor the non-conformance parts list and work with appropriate parties to resolve issues with suppliers.
  • Create Purchase Orders (POs) for domestic and international parts.
  • Monitor open and late POs.
  • Perform and submit supplier assessments.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or certification in technical, mechanical, or electrical studies (required). Bachelor’s degree or higher in these fields (preferred).
  • Engineering, machine shop, or technical work experience.
  • Ability to read and understand parts lists, catalogs, data sheets, dimension drawings, price books, and other technical documents.
  • Ability to research, read, and understand SEW work standards as well as international standards (ISO, DIN, ASTM, etc.).
  • Knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes for various types of parts.
  • Strong office skills, including proficiency with computers, applications, and office equipment.

Pay

$22–$24 per hour. A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.

Schedule

Onsite 1st shift position.
