Industrial Furnace Operator - 3rd Shift

About the role

Our Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals site in Indianapolis is home to a dedicated team producing high-performance tungsten alloys for industries that shape the future—from aerospace and defense to medical and industrial applications. As a 3rd shift Industrial Furnace Operator, you will operate one or more furnaces based on work demand for sintering, load copper and silver alloy per work instructions, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pressed parts for furnace operation per manufacturing instructions.
• Set furnace equipment to align with specific job requirements.
• Remove product from furnace in accordance with safety guidelines and prepare parts for the next operation.
• Review product post-furnace to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain records in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

• 1+ years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential job duties and responsibilities.
• Good attention to detail.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods; 90% of the time is spent standing or stooping.
• Must be able to work in high ambient working temperatures.

Qualifications

1-3 years’ experience in a sintering, heat treating, or industrial baking environment (preferred).

Schedule

3rd shift (hourly position).
