Furnace Operator 3rd shift

About the role

The Heat Treater C position is available in Laconia, NH and is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical, and be able to work full-time, 40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Aids in operations, control, and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment as per procedures, shop traveler, and customer paperwork.
• Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Brings any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.
• Promotes safety and good housekeeping practices.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or directed by the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Military and veteran status considered.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
• Physical demands include standing for extended periods, bending, pulling, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 35 lbs., exposure to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity.
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
• Ability to hear in person and via phone.
