Industrial Engineering Lead

About the role

Guidehouse is seeking an Industrial Engineering Lead to deliver modeling and simulation solutions, recommendations for continuous improvement and operational excellence, and an implementation plan to close process gaps for various manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of modeling and simulation solutions
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Create an implementation plan to address process gaps
• Work closely with clients, project managers, engineers, data scientists, and other developers to deliver tools and strategies for optimizing industrial processes
• Understand industrial manufacturing processes at the value stream level, process constraints, and mitigation strategies
• Utilize optimization technologies to address process constraints
• Communicate effectively and solve problems

Requirements

• ACTIVE and MAINTAINED Secret Federal or DoD security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
• TEN (10) years of experience related to Industrial Engineering or general engineering discipline

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes at the value stream level, process constraints and strategies to mitigate, and optimization technologies for addressing those constraints
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

What would be nice to have

• Experience with value stream mapping of manufacturing processes
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with analysis of current and future state of industrial manufacturing processes and developing plan for closing gaps
• Knowledge of discrete event simulation and supporting software (Simio, Arena, FlexSim, etc.)
