About the role
The Industrial Engineer Lead position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State. This role is responsible for optimizing complex systems, processes, and operations to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Product Flow Analysis
- Optimizes material usage to reduce costs and improve plant-wide standardization
- Improves process flow and optimizes movement through bottlenecks and general practices
- Utilizes 5S principles to create tools and methodologies for the Janicki shop environment
- Optimizes and standardizes workflow and Project Team interaction with production
- Leverages ERP tools to control workflow and communicate method improvements to the global community
- Develops and maintains a Janicki Manufacturing Method
- Establishes and leads process and program-specific continuous improvement initiatives
- Evaluates and reduces waste in programs and processes through training and experience
- Works to stabilize processes statistically and uses the Scientific Method to implement improvements
- Evaluates the use of all plant-wide equipment to optimize workflow, processes, capabilities, and uses the Scientific Method
- Provides an IE perspective and input in the purchasing and implementation of new equipment and software
- Works with automation, facilities, and maintenance to provide solutions for quality, workflow, and general plant optimization
- Manages and oversees engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
- Develops detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk assessments
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain, to achieve project objectives
- Utilizes data-driven decision making to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality
- Maintains project performance using key metrics and provides regular status updates to stakeholders
- Identifies and mitigates potential project risks while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies
- Facilitates communication between departments to ensure seamless execution and successful project outcomes
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Composite/Material Science, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field is required
- An advanced degree (M.S. Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering) is preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and Primavera is required
- Some experience with Catia and Unigraphics is required
- Extensive work experience (10+ Years) and other education may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
- Familiarity with a variety of the fields' concepts, practices, and procedures

Additional Information
Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
The salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $145,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts.
