Industrial Engineer Lead
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new technologies, processes, and equipment that will enable our warehouses to support business growth.
- Manage large cross-functional projects from ideation to implementation.
- Create and update engineering labor standards within our labor management system.
- Conduct the economic evaluation of ideas and technologies, and write the business cases to justify projects and track results to demonstrate success.
- Create layouts for facilities, equipment, inventory storage, workspaces, and material flows.
- Create the technical specifications that define our equipment and facility standards, and warehouse automation concepts.
- Write the documents necessary to procure equipment and technical services such as scope of work, performance requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Support maintenance with automated equipment downtime resolution.
- Conduct inventory capacity forecasting and related capital investment planning.
- Lead the implementation of lean warehousing programs, including methods such as waste elimination, 5S, value analysis, standard work, and material flow systems (pull systems, theory of constraints, etc).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
- 5+ years of experience, primarily with implementing automated systems.
- You are proficient in AutoCad.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Nice to have: Exposure to warehouse fulfillment environments
- Six sigma certification
- Proficient in Minitab
- Proficient with Takt LMS and Softeon WMS
- Experience with discrete-event simulation software (e.g., FlexSim, similar)

The salary for US-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, location, and performance.

Salary Range $96,000—$128,000 USD
