About the role

The Industrial Engineer Network Strategy supports the development and optimization of the company's supply chain network through strategic planning, network modeling, capacity analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for maintaining Long Range Planning (LRP) models, supporting annual Peak Planning activities, contributing to 10-Year Network Planning efforts, and identifying opportunities to improve network efficiency while supporting business growth.

The position leverages data analytics, network modeling tools, including Coupa Supply Chain Design (Llamasoft), and Lean methodologies to evaluate network performance, assess future capacity needs, and support strategic decision-making. Working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Transportation, Finance, and Engineering teams, the Industrial Engineer provides analytical insights and recommendations that improve service, reduce costs, and optimize network performance.

A Day In The Life

  • Maintain and enhance Long Range Planning (LRP) models to support network capacity and growth planning.
  • Support annual Peak Planning processes through capacity analysis, throughput modeling, labor planning, and scenario evaluation.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of 10-Year Network Plans to support strategic business objectives.
  • Analyze projected volume growth and identify future facility, processing and storage capacity requirements.
  • Support network design studies evaluating facility locations, inventory deployment, service strategies, and operational capacity.
  • Prepare analyses and recommendations regarding network utilization, capacity constraints, and growth opportunities.
  • Utilize Coupa Supply Chain Design (Llamasoft) and other analytical tools to model network alternatives and evaluate optimization opportunities.
  • Support projects focused on transportation optimization, facility utilization, inventory flow improvements, and overall network efficiency.
  • Identify and quantify network savings opportunities through analytical modeling and operational assessments.
  • Participate in network right-sizing initiatives to balance service, cost, and capacity requirements.
  • Develop financial analyses, cost-benefit assessments, and ROI calculations to support business decisions.
  • Apply Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to improve supply chain performance and eliminate waste.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses supporting strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and executive decision-making.
  • Develop forecasting models, capacity analyses, scenario planning tools, and operational reports.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools that provide visibility into network performance and future requirements.
  • Analyze network trends and operational data to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement recommendations.
  • Support annual budgeting, strategic planning, and capital planning processes through data-driven insights.
  • Support cross-functional projects involving Operations, Transportation, Inventory Planning, Finance, and Engineering.
  • Coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Present findings, analyses, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with external consultants, software providers, and business partners as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Analytics, Network Planning, Logistics, or Distribution Operations.
  • Experience with data analysis, capacity planning, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with network modeling tools such as Coupa Supply Chain Design (Llamasoft) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to work across multiple functions.

Pay

Min-Mid $65,000.00 - $80,000.00
