Responsibilities
- Propose and drive cross-functional projects mainly within a work cell.
- Develop Time standards for process steps to be used in the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB).
- Gather and analyze Industrial Engineering metrics for assigned customers or areas.
- Cook up and coordinate layout and facility move(s) for assigned customer or area(s).
- Collect, analyze, and review IEDB data to ensure accuracy and compliance with the standard process.
- Maintain and monitor SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configurations to ensure compliance with the standardized system configurations.
- Gather and/or develop data for quotes.
- Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team.
- Support and/or maintain all lower-level Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities.
- Ensure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional, and site direction.
- Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity in order to support process improvement throughout the organization.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Develop quotations and schedules for their portions of design, with little or no assistance.
- Provide onsite technical support for all manufacturing builds including engineering prototypes, NPI & production releases.
- Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are competitive and cost-effective.
- Develop and design mechanical layouts and drawings using standard 3D CAD tools.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or other similar related industry.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in an Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role OR other combination of education or experience.
Qualifications
- MS Suite experience including Outlook, Visio, and Project required.
- AutoCAD skills required.
- Understanding and application of broad range of industrial engineering tools (i.e. Work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.).
- Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous improvements and cost reduction programs.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
