Responsibilities

  • Complies with and ensures compliance with Tri-M safety and employment policies.
  • Works from construction drawings to install branch power, lighting, and distribution systems.
  • Troubleshoots electrical problems using appropriate test equipment.
  • Conducts on-the-job training of apprentices.
  • Safeguards and maintains company equipment, materials, tools, and vehicles.
  • Collaborates with subcontractors and outside services to ensure adherence to Tri-M policies.
  • Installs PLC, motor controls, cable, and cable trays within classified areas.
  • Operates multi-meters, voltage meters, rotation meters, and meggers on various projects.
  • Requisitions materials and administers small projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six years’ experience in the electrical or building automation trades.
  • Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program and ability to obtain Maryland and Delaware Electrical Journeyperson Licenses.
  • Two years’ experience working within an industrial environment.
  • Good working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Good mechanical aptitude and proficient computer literacy.
  • Confident, decisive, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Purchase company required personal tools and maintain them in good condition.
  • Ability and willingness to drive company vehicles and travel regionally to jobsites as needed.

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program.
  • Ability to obtain a Maryland and Delaware Electrical Journeyperson License.
  • Two years’ experience working within an industrial environment.

  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient computer literacy.
