About the role

Stryten Energy is seeking a full-time Industrial Electrician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have industrial electrical knowledge and strong mechanical abilities, capable of troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical problems in a fast-paced, automated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electromechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Support new installations, improvements, and optimization projects in all areas of the plant.
  • Run conduit and pull wire as required for power distribution and controls integration.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Accurately complete necessary paperwork as required and have excellent attendance.
  • Assist in developing documentation for new and existing plant automation and control systems.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Experience with electrical tools, such as oscilloscope, multimeters, amp-meters, megohmmeters, power meters, process meters, etc.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft products, and ability to use PLC and panelview programs.
  • Familiarity with common hand tool usage including power tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass electromechanical maintenance test.
  • An AA degree in mechanical or industrial maintenance is a plus.
  • PLC experience (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley) is a plus.
  • Two or more years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

  • Must be open to shift changes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and compliance ability with NFPA and OSHA regulations as well as demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Ability to run conduit and pull wire as required for power distribution and controls integration.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical and controls systems, to include but not limited to PLCs, VFDs, motor starters, digital and analog I/O, and other electrical anomalies at voltage ranges from 5VDC to 480VAC.
  • Must be able to handle scrap materials and disposable protective clothing containing lead which requires proper disposal as hazardous waste.
  • Must be able to use both arms and hands to use computer, peripherals, and lift 40 pounds from floor level to overhead.
  • Must be able to work below ground level in confined spaces and on stationary or mobile elevated platforms.
  • Must be able to wear respirator and other PPE as required.
  • Must be able to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.

  • Emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service

Pay

The pay rate is $41.20/hour.

Schedule

This is a 1st shift position (Monday - Friday; 7am - 3pm).
