Industrial Electrician
Job Description
The Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all facility electrical systems.
- Maintains PLC/HMI information systems to improve metrics to meet operations goals.
- Maintains facility equipment OEM specifications.
- Oversees the maintenance of the facility’s electrical assets.
- Conducts electrical repairs to the manufacturing equipment.
- Maintains maintenance records for electrical work performed.
- Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
- Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
- Maintains excellent safety record.
- Maintains excellent attendance record.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience
Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience. At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities. At least two (2) years of experience in electrical systems and controls. Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
Skills
- Ability to work safely and to communicate with others in a professional manner.
- Proficient in basic computer operation and data entry; some experience with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Teams.
- Organized.
- Able to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer knowledge.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
- PLC ladder diagram reading.
- Full understanding of all levels of wiring diagrams.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent).
- Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent).
- Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional).
- Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent).
