About the role

Hours Work in all areas of the plant - flexible as needed or required
All shifts available - 8-hour days, 5-7 days per week, and needed/scheduled

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot all electrical issues and problems, including PLCs, motors, sensors, and wiring.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure machinery is working in optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Improve, install, and upgrade machinery performance.
  • Troubleshoot and solve equipment issues with other maintenance team members.
  • Follow and comply with safety guidelines and company protocols such as lockout/tagout, electrical work, and equipment operations.
  • Maintain records of electrical repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Aid in the implementation of new equipment installations and modifications.
  • Ensure minimal downtime on production by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns.
  • Able to work in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical or Electronics (Minnesota Journeyman or Master's license not required, but a plus).
  • Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and machinery.
  • Experience working with PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, including OSHA and NFPA standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Understand and comply with Company policy and procedures.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good work history and attendance.
  • Team Player.
