About the role
Hours Work in all areas of the plant - flexible as needed or required
All shifts available - 8-hour days, 5-7 days per week, and needed/scheduled
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot all electrical issues and problems, including PLCs, motors, sensors, and wiring.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure machinery is working in optimal performance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Improve, install, and upgrade machinery performance.
- Troubleshoot and solve equipment issues with other maintenance team members.
- Follow and comply with safety guidelines and company protocols such as lockout/tagout, electrical work, and equipment operations.
- Maintain records of electrical repairs and maintenance performed.
- Aid in the implementation of new equipment installations and modifications.
- Ensure minimal downtime on production by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Electrical or Electronics (Minnesota Journeyman or Master's license not required, but a plus).
- Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and machinery.
- Experience working with PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systems.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, including OSHA and NFPA standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Understand and comply with Company policy and procedures.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good work history and attendance.
