Industrial Electrician
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all electrical systems are maintained in good working order in an effort to maximize the efficiency of mill equipment.
- Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical motors, scanners, drives, and PLC’s on equipment used in the sawmill process.
- Respond to requests from both the Production Supervisors and the Maintenance Supervisors.
- Commit to and always promote the use of safe practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Preferred: Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or an equivalent apprenticeship including Military Occupation Courses, experience, or apprenticeships.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in maintenance in an industrial environment.
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities with electrical controls, power distribution (high and low voltage), programmable logic controllers and variable frequency drives is essential.
- Additional: Previous sawmill experience is considered an asset.
- Ability: Ability to work a rotating shift, work independently or part of a team.
