About the role

LGG Industrial is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a motivated and ambitious sales professional with a passion for industrial manufacturing or distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Promote and sell company products, systems, and services to existing customers.
  • Analyze customer’s problems and issues to identify best technical professional solutions.
  • Capture, document, and share customer feedback.
  • Plan for cross-selling and upselling within existing customer base.
  • Research and report on marketplace and competitive information for sales strategy planning.
  • Develop and achieve personal sales objectives.
  • Enter documented cost savings into the system regularly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers and internal support personnel.
  • Partner with Service Center teams to provide sales solutions, quotes, and process orders.
  • Aid A/R personnel in creating and establishing new accounts and follow up on collections.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service Representatives and Service Center management to keep account activities updated.
  • Monitor delivery date commitments and expedite where necessary.
  • Log sales generation and data into the system regularly.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent sales skills including rapport building, questioning, negotiation, and follow up.
  • Confident in prospecting, cold calling – in person, email and phone, and territory management.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, above average mechanical aptitude, and ability to interact with a diverse customer base.
  • Presentation skills with the ability to tailor messages to audience needs.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience with CRM.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of gaskets, hoses, and conveying systems within preferred industries, preferred.
  • Proven outside industrial sales experience, 3-7 years.
  • University degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred; equivalents considered.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
