Industrial Account Manager
About the role
Crescent Electric is seeking an Industrial Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, 4 years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience. Previous knowledge of the wholesale electrical distribution industry and industrial sales experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain business plans for assigned accounts in Crescent’s CRM tool.
- Develop sustainable sales/profit volume in assigned territory.
- Make regular in-person sales calls to prospective and existing customers.
- Introduce and demonstrate new products to industrial customers.
- Pricing bills of material and assisting customers with their needs.
- Sell products and services using a conservative approach, offering add-ons and upsells as necessary.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with industrial customers and suppliers.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Communicate competitive conditions, customer financial weaknesses, and feedback to management.
- Cooperate with suppliers for mutual business opportunities.
- Execute sales efforts ethically and professionally, reflecting positively on both the individual and the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous knowledge of the wholesale electrical distribution industry and industrial sales experience.
- Valid Driver’s License with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight stays.
- Comprehensive computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Product knowledge and ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints.
- Interpersonal and organizational skills, self-starter attitude, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities (verbal and written).
Physical Demands
- Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and stooping.
- Frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Continuous lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Use of hands and fingers for various tasks.
- Use of technology (phones, computers, printers, keyboards).
- Use of assistive devices for lifting and carrying heavy items.

Benefits Eligibility
Eligibility for health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits begins on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees who are 21 years of age or older will be automatically enrolled in the company’s 401(k) plan after 90 days of employment.
