The organization provides compassionate, quality, and affordable health care services to adults with mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders, as well as to all individuals with disabilities—including children and the elderly. Licensed clinicians and highly qualified professionals are trained to provide the highest quality, compassionate care. This part-time position involves traveling to the homes of children and adolescents in Bergen County.

Responsibilities

• Assist behavioral therapists to create effective behavioral therapy programs tailored to children and adolescents
• Implement individualized service plans
• Provide behavioral interventions in home and community settings
• Actively manage youth with behavioral challenges
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment by developing and initiating safety standards
• Instruct youth on positive behavioral practices
• Monitor and document observations of youth behavior to allow for necessary modifications to daily activities that align with therapeutic goals
• Develop and implement engaging recreational activities that support the emotional and social growth of youth
• Maintain a clean and secure environment for youth to thrive

Requirements

• College degree with one year of experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three years of supervised experience implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with children and their families
• Ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents in a supportive and nurturing manner
• Prior experience in behavioral interventions
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
