Licensed clinicians and highly qualified professionals are trained to provide the highest quality, compassionate care. This part-time position involves traveling to the homes of children and adolescents in Bergen County.

Responsibilities

  • Assist behavioral therapists to create effective behavioral therapy programs tailored to children and adolescents
  • Implement individualized service plans
  • Provide behavioral interventions in home and community settings
  • Actively manage youth with behavioral challenges
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment by developing and initiating safety standards
  • Instruct youth on positive behavioral practices
  • Monitor and document observations of youth behavior to allow for necessary modifications to daily activities that align with therapeutic goals
  • Develop and implement engaging recreational activities that support the emotional and social growth of youth
  • Maintain a clean and secure environment for youth to thrive

Requirements

  • College degree with one year of experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three years of supervised experience implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with children and their families
  • Ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents in a supportive and nurturing manner
  • Prior experience in behavioral interventions
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
