About the role
The Senior Indirect Tax Analyst will focus on tax compliance and reporting as well as audit defense and tax planning for our Hyperscale business.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Indirect Tax Team to ensure all U.S. & Canadian Sales/Use, GST, property tax, gross receipt returns, and miscellaneous business filings are timely and accurately filed
- Prepare and maintain property tax forecast
- Work with external consultants to manage property tax appeals
- Work with the commercial business to ensure customer’s as well as internal business partner’s indirect tax questions are addressed
- Ensure that all sales/use, GST, gross receipt, and property tax accounts are properly reconciled
- Work with the indirect tax management team on U.S. and Canadian tax Audits with a view toward settling in an efficient and cost-effective manner
- Aid the indirect tax management team with researching technical matters using internal research products as well as coordinating with outside experts to ensure proper tax positions are taken
- Assist the indirect tax management team with system implementation of changes related to product taxability
- Participate in ad hoc projects including global VAT compliance
Qualifications
- 3+ years work experience with Big 4 and/or corporate indirect tax department
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's in Taxation is desirable)
- Working knowledge of Oracle and Vertex (or similar software)
- Demonstrated technical strength and knowledge related to indirect tax - Property tax expertise is a big plus
- Self-starter with strong accounting, analytical, creative problem-solving and project management skills
- Ability to recognize, understand and analyze complex indirect tax related issues and propose resolutions to the indirect tax management team
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel in an organization
- Well-organized, hands on, and detail oriented
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient computer skills including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and writing skills
Pay
The targeted pay range for this position in the United States - Dallas Infomart Office is $80,000 - $120,000 USD / Annual. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
