*Indiana University Health Medical Group - Certified Nurse Midwife opportunity at Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN
Indiana University Health Arnett OB/GYN is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to join a collegial team of 7 OB/GYN physicians, 1 GYN physician, 3 Nurse Practitioners, and 6 Nurse Midwives as they rebuild the historic Certified Nurse-Midwife Practice in Lafayette, Indiana. The goal is to expand to 7 FTE CNMs.
About the Role
- Full-time position, 40-hour work week
- Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available
- Robust onboarding program with a blend of ambulatory and in-patient care
- Provide full scope of ambulatory services and in-hospital call, midwifery-led maternity care caseload
- Clinic volume: approximately 20 patients per full day
- Opportunity to work with experienced RNs who support physiologic birth
- Option for hydrotherapy and water birth for appropriate candidates
- Strong focus on building and sustaining a culture of collegial relationships between OB/GYNs, CNMs, and RNs
Responsibilities
- Focus on women of childbearing age, providing comprehensive OB/GYN care and addressing common primary care needs
- Build a community-focused program with a patient-centered, midwifery-led model of care for low-risk patients
- Embrace a collaborative, team-based approach
Preferred, but not required: experience with Cerner EMR and ChildWatch.
Requirements
- Active AMCB Certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife
- Ability to obtain advanced practice/CNM License in Indiana
- Open to new graduates and experienced Certified Nurse-Midwives
