In-Room Dining Order Taker (Part Time) - Pendry Chicago

About the role

Pendry Chicago is seeking a Telephone Sales Agent to support the In-Room Dining department. This role involves answering incoming calls, taking orders, providing recommendations, and managing special requests.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and take guests' orders via phone or digital platforms
• Provide menu recommendations, describe menu items, and address guest inquiries regarding ingredients, allergens, or dietary restrictions
• Accurately enter guest orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring all special requests and modifications are correctly recorded
• Cook with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders, prioritizing based on guest preferences and timing requests
• Upsell menu items, promotions, and special offerings to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue
• Process payment transactions accurately, including cash, credit cards, room charges, and any applicable discounts or promotions
• Assist with emails, ordering supplies, updating menu and information binders, guest amenity traces and set-up, as well as data entry and filing, and checking orders as they go out
• Keep the office clean and organized
• Close out cash banks and pay out servers as needed
• Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments

Qualifications

Pay

The pay range for In-Room Dining Order Taker is $23.50-24.00 hourly. The pay scale is the base hourly range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Pendry reasonably expects to pay for the position.
