About the role

The In House Used Car Buyer will execute a process involving prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles for resale.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for calling, following up, and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used vehicles.
• Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.
• Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle.
• Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.
• Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system.
• Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller.
• Introduce guests to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle.
• Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively.

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years in a Used Car Buyer role in a dealership setting, or vehicle procurement in the automotive rental industry.
• High level of customer service and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Ability to meet company’s production and quality standards.
• Outstanding Computer skills required.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.

Pay

Annual Income Potential may be from $100,000 to $150,000.
