About the Role
In House Maintenance Technicians are experts with building systems and industrial equipment, as well as three-phase AC/DC power circuits used to power warehouses. The Technicians read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to repair and adjust machines or devices, install new equipment, and perform plumbing, carpentry, welding, and cutting. They use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate and process maintenance repairs. One of the following positions is available: In House Maintenance Technician Class A, B, or C, contingent upon the candidate's qualifications and work experience.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Repair and adjust machines or devices
- Install new equipment
- Perform plumbing, carpentry, welding, and cutting
- Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate and process maintenance repairs
- Operate powered industrial equipment
- Maintain and supply hand tools to accomplish daily duties
- Work with little or no supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and safe work habits
Requirements
- At least 20 years old
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before start date)
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
- Ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment
- Ability to read, write, and solve math problems
- Ability to stand, stoop, crouch, kneel, lift, reach, push, pull, climb, and crawl
- Successfully complete the following tests before start date:
- Computation
- Following Written Directions
- Space Visualization
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
- Ability to generate and process work on a computerized maintenance-management system
- Ability to supply and maintain hand tools to accomplish daily duties
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness and ability to advance
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Industrial Maintenance associate
- Mechanical and diagnostic knowledge of powered industrial equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse plumbing
- Knowledge of ARC, MIG, and GAS welding and cutting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience in building/industrial maintenance or a related trade
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Carpentry skills
- Working knowledge of D.C. voltage circuits and operational sequence of components
- Knowledge of electrical (A.C. and D.C.) theory
