In-House Healthcare IT Contracts Attorney

About the role

The ideal candidate will bring several years of experience in commercial contracting within the healthcare or healthcare technology space, providing business-oriented guidance on agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, and BAAs, while ensuring compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements, including PHI, AI, and Tech.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of IT, commercial, and healthcare-related contracts
• Provide business-oriented guidance on agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, and BAAs
• Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements, including PHI, AI, and Tech

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience, with a strong emphasis on commercial contracting in healthcare, healthcare technology, or a related regulated industry
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-volume agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs)
• Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA, with a strong understanding of PHI handling, data privacy, and security considerations
• Familiarity with the interconnection of IT contracts with HIPPA

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing

Skills

• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements
• Experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-volume agreements
• Knowledge of IT contracts and their intersection with HIPAA

Pay

The annualized pay for this position ranges from $190,000 to $210,000. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
