Marquis Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) is seeking an experienced and results-driven In-House Recruiter to lead the recruitment and hiring of clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals.
About the role
This position is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies, maintaining a strong candidate pipeline, coordinating interviews, and ensuring timely staffing to support agency growth and patient care needs.
Responsibilities
- Source, recruit, screen, and hire qualified healthcare professionals including:
- Registered Nurses (RNs)
- Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
- Physical Therapists (PTs)
- Occupational Therapists (OTs)
- Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs)
- Medical Social Workers (MSWs)
- Administrative and support staff
- Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through job boards, social media, networking events, schools, professional associations, referrals, and community outreach.
- Conduct phone screenings and initial interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and clinical leadership.
- Manage recruitment advertising and job postings across multiple platforms.
- Attend job fairs, career events, and healthcare networking opportunities, often in conjunction with the Marquis Marketing team, to promote Marquis CHHA.
- Track applicants through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Verify licenses, certifications, and credentials.
- Coordinate background checks, references, and pre-employment requirements.
- Collaborate with HR and Clinical Management to facilitate onboarding and orientation.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and agency hiring regulations.
- Build strong relationships with nursing schools, therapy programs, healthcare organizations, and workforce development agencies.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Partner with agency leadership to understand staffing needs and workforce planning initiatives.
- Monitor recruitment metrics including:
- Time-to-fill
- Cost-per-hire
- Source effectiveness
- Candidate conversion rates
- Retention trends
- Provide weekly and monthly recruitment reports to leadership team.
- Recommend process improvements and innovative recruitment strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of healthcare recruiting experience.
- Experience in Home Health Care is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting licensed healthcare professionals, including RN, LPN, PT, OT, SLP, and Home Health staff.
- Knowledge of healthcare credentialing and licensure requirements.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms.
- Strong interviewing, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple openings simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and recruiting software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting specifically within Home Health, CHHA, LHCSA, Hospice, or Skilled Nursing environments.
- Knowledge of New York State home care regulations and workforce requirements.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
