Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring an In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarian to serve pet families across San Jose, San Bruno, Mountain View, Fremont, San Mateo, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, and Warm Springs, California. Practice medicine without a waiting room, double-booked columns, or corporate production dashboards—just you, a loving family, and the time to do it right.

About the role

This role is ideal for experienced doctors looking to step away from the pace of general or emergency practice without leaving medicine, as well as for those returning from a break or building a schedule around family.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets
- Work independently in a mobile environment
- Maintain professional communication with team members and families
- Exude compassion, dignity, and respect in all interactions
- Lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
- Available for rotational weekend shifts
Requirements
- DVM, VMD, or BVMS degree
- Valid driver’s license
