Impound Coordinator

Description

Impound Coordinators are responsible for managing 1-3 local impounds. Their duties include:

• Building relationships with impounds
• Taking pictures of dogs and cats needing rescue
• Temperament testing for dogs
• Assessing for any vetting needs
• Posting information in Facebook groups
• Arranging for the pick-up of animals when a foster is found
• Collecting necessary information to upload to our online databases

Requirements

Essential requirements for this position include:

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms
• Good visual assessment skills

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience working with animal shelters or rescues
• Previous experience with fostering or adopting pets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

The following skills are beneficial for this role:

• Photoshop or similar photo editing software
• Basic knowledge of veterinary care
• Experience with online databases
