Description
Impound Coordinators are responsible for managing 1-3 local impounds. Their duties include:
- Building relationships with impounds
- Taking pictures of dogs and cats needing rescue
- Temperament testing for dogs
- Assessing for any vetting needs
- Posting information in Facebook groups
- Arranging for the pick-up of animals when a foster is found
- Collecting necessary information to upload to our online databases
Requirements
Essential requirements for this position include:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms
- Good visual assessment skills
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with animal shelters or rescues
- Previous experience with fostering or adopting pets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
The following skills are beneficial for this role:
- Photoshop or similar photo editing software
- Basic knowledge of veterinary care
- Experience with online databases
