Scope of Position
Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Air Import Department.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
- Avoid delays and ensure accurate data entry into our operating system
- Track and trace Air/Ocean Import files as required
- Utilize Workflows on a daily basis
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments
- Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes
- Accurately and timely bill clients and Service Providers
- Communicate with customers to arrange international shipments, meeting service standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, trucking companies, etc.)
- Comply with all regulations at all times, including internal policies and procedures and external government regulations or customer policies
- Identify and implement areas for improving efficiency within the department
- Ensure all customers' standard operating procedures are followed and updated
- Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as per company procedures
- Handle overseas communications promptly, responding to emails and requests internally and externally
Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of air and/or documentation processes a plus
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Pro-active, strong organizational skills
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English
