About the Opportunity

The Import CHB Coordinator supports the customs brokerage team by accurately processing customs entries and managing communications with clients and regulatory agencies. This role is designed for a developing contributor aiming to build skills toward independent account management while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for assigned accounts, providing updates and customer support.
  • Build professional relationships with clients through effective communication.
  • Handle routine client inquiries and escalate complex issues.
  • Process customs entries accurately and timely according to regulations and client needs.
  • Review and validate shipment documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, customer SOPs, and internal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and operational workflows.
  • Investigate and resolve entry processing issues and documentation discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and regulatory agencies to address challenges.
  • Identify and correct risks or compliance concerns.
  • Escalate non-routine issues to leadership.
  • Support shipment execution in partnership with related teams.
  • Participate in training, coaching, and team meetings.
  • Apply feedback to improve performance and expertise.
  • Ensure billing, file completion, and documentation requirements are met.
  • Contribute to meeting productivity, quality, and compliance KPIs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years’ experience in customs brokerage, international trade, logistics, or related field.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and entry processes.
  • Ability to process customs entries and review shipment documentation accurately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Time management and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or related field.
  • Experience with CargoWise or similar customs brokerage systems.
  • Exposure to customs classification, PGA requirements, or trade compliance.
  • Customs brokerage industry certifications or coursework.
