Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing timely updates and responsive customer support.
- Build effective working relationships with clients through professional communication and service.
- Address routine client inquiries and escalate complex issues as appropriate.
- Support client satisfaction through accurate execution and proactive communication.
- Process customs entries accurately and timely in accordance with client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Review and validate shipment documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and supporting customs documentation.
- Ensure compliance with CBP regulations, customer SOPs, and internal procedures.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and support operational workflow efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve routine entry processing issues, documentation discrepancies, and shipment-related concerns.
- Collaborate with internal teams and regulatory agencies to address operational challenges.
- Identify risks, compliance concerns, or processing errors and take appropriate corrective action.
- Escalate non-routine issues and exceptions to leadership as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, CBP, partner government agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with Compliance, Transportation, and other operational teams to support shipment execution.
- Participate in team meetings, training programs, and coaching sessions.
- Seek feedback and apply learnings to improve performance and technical expertise.
- Maintain accuracy across entry filings, documentation, and account records.
- Support compliance with billing, file completion, and documentation requirements.
- Ensure files are processed and finalized within established service standards.
- Contribute to meeting productivity, quality, and compliance KPIs.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in customs brokerage, international trade, logistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with customs entry processes and U.S. Customs regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
