About the role

This position is based in San Francisco, CA, and follows a hybrid work model. The targeted experience level for this role is 5-7 years.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience with the design and installation of equipment used in transmitting broadband data over in-building networks
  • Hands-on experience with coax, twisted pair copper, or fiber optic cabling and complex networks, as well as switching equipment
  • Coordinate installation of new in-building networks or equipment
  • Evaluate multi-tenant (residence and business) buildings to determine compatibility with different networks and systems
  • Manage large build projects involving broadband services, ensuring timely planning and implementation
  • Produce technical as-built documentation
  • Provide general ad-hoc operational support for local field engineering and sales teams

Requirements

  • General knowledge and experience with the design and installation of in-building network architectures
  • Ability to identify and prevent work area hazards
  • Knowledge and experience with CATV provider termination points (e.g., terminals, pedestals)
  • Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting coax and Cat6a Ethernet cabling
  • Must possess a vehicle capable of transporting tools and equipment
  • Hands-on experience working off ladders (step/extension/folding)
  • Hands-on experience with drilling in multiple dwelling/commercial buildings
  • Frontline experience working with customers/clients

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with Google Suite and other computer and mobility-based applications
  • A four-year college degree or equivalent field experience
  • Experience working on multiple dwelling/commercial building rooftops (flat and/or pitched)
