Telecommunications Engineer - III

Job Summary

Randstad is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer with hands-on experience in designing and installing equipment for broadband data transmission within in-building networks. The position is available for telecommuting.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with the design and installation of equipment for broadband data transmission over in-building networks
• Hands-on experience with coax, twisted pair copper, or fiber optic cabling and complex networks, as well as switching equipment
• Experience coordinating the installation of new in-building networks or equipment
• Ability to evaluate multi-tenant (residential and commercial) buildings for compatibility with different networks and systems
• Experience managing large-scale build projects involving broadband services, ensuring timely planning and implementation
• Ability to produce technical as-built documentation
• Provide general ad-hoc operational support for local field engineering and sales teams

Qualifications

• Must have general knowledge and experience with the design and installation of in-building network architectures
• Must have knowledge and experience with CATV provider termination points (e.g., terminals, pedestals)
• Must have hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting coax and Cat6a Ethernet cabling
• Must possess a vehicle capable of transporting tools and equipment
• Must have hands-on experience working off ladders (step/extension/folding)
• Must have hands-on experience with drilling in multiple dwelling/commercial buildings
• Desired skills include knowledge and experience with Google Suite and other computer/mobility-based applications, a four-year college degree or equivalent field experience, and frontline experience with working with customers/clients
