About the Role

Alkami is the digital sales and service platform provider for U.S. banks and credit unions. Our unified Platform integrates onboarding, digital banking, and data and marketing—each solution can stand alone, but together they deliver more—to help institutions onboard, engage, and grow relationships. As a remote-first company, most positions can be remote in the US, except for key roles which will be indicated in the job title.

The Technical Implementation Engineer II independently supports the configuration, implementation, and technical delivery of Alkami Digital Banking products and third-party integrations for client onboarding and enhancement initiatives. This role applies professional expertise to troubleshoot technical issues, configure platform functionality, and support implementation activities across a variety of client environments. The position collaborates with project managers, product teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders to ensure implementations are completed accurately and aligned with project expectations.

Responsibilities

Configure Alkami Digital Banking products and third-party integrations by applying implementation requirements, technical specifications, and client-specific customization needs
Support implementation delivery by independently managing assigned technical tasks, coordinating timelines, and ensuring deliverables meet project quality standards
Troubleshoot implementation and configuration issues by analyzing system behaviors, reviewing logs and technical documentation, and resolving technical discrepancies within established processes
Install, configure, and customize platform functionality by applying standard implementation methodologies and validating expected system performance
Collaborate with project managers and client stakeholders by communicating technical progress, identifying implementation risks, and supporting issue resolution activities
Perform testing and validation activities by executing implementation test plans, documenting results, and confirming platform configurations meet client and operational requirements
Support third-party vendor integrations by coordinating technical requirements, validating connectivity, and troubleshooting interface-related issues during implementation activities
Maintain implementation documentation by creating and updating configuration records, technical procedures, issue tracking details, and project-related artifacts
Analyze client implementation requirements by reviewing technical specifications, identifying dependencies, and recommending appropriate configuration approaches
Provide technical support during implementation and post-go-live activities by responding to client questions, resolving technical issues, and supporting platform stabilization efforts
Coordinate cross-functional implementation activities by partnering with internal teams including product, support, engineering, and customer-facing stakeholders
Apply implementation best practices by following operational procedures, security standards, and quality controls throughout project execution
Identify opportunities for process improvement by documenting recurring implementation challenges and recommending workflow or documentation enhancements
Support knowledge-sharing initiatives by contributing technical insights, updating team resources, and assisting with onboarding or mentoring less experienced team members
Manage multiple implementation priorities by balancing project timelines, technical troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication across concurrent engagements

Requirements

1–3 years of experience supporting software implementations, technical consulting, systems configuration, or client onboarding activities within SaaS, fintech, banking technology, or related technical environments
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology, or a related field
Experience configuring software platforms or supporting technical implementation projects
Knowledge of troubleshooting methodologies and technical issue resolution practices
Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
Ability to analyze implementation requirements and apply configuration solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience managing multiple priorities and implementation timelines
Ability to work independently within established implementation processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience documenting technical procedures, configurations, and implementation activities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting digital banking, fintech, or financial services technology platforms
Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, or data exchange processes
Proficiency with software development or scripting (C#, Java, Python, JavaScript)
Experience working with project management, ticketing, or documentation platforms
Exposure to SaaS implementation methodologies or customer onboarding processes
Experience supporting client-facing technical projects in a cross-functional environment
