Join us as an Implant Control Coordinator II to support the Clinical Supply Chain Manager and Perioperative Materials Supervisor in optimizing perioperative material management across surgical areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clinical Supply Chain Manager and Perioperative Materials Supervisor in planning new policies and procedures.
• Indirectly coordinate daily activities in Surgical Materials Distribution.
• Coordinate and implement surgical inventory system/process changes to maximize effective inventory control, replenishment, distribution, and stock reduction.
• Ensure Surgical Materials staff are well-trained in new technologies.
• Perform statistical analysis on stock usage, inventory turns, and cost implications.
• Serve as the point person for product quality and utilization concerns in Surgical Materials Distribution.
• Meet with vendors, physicians, and clinicians to identify opportunities for product standardization and inventory reduction.
• Perform statistical analyses on products or product lines to determine cost-effective manufacturer/vendor partnerships.
• Monitor, analyze, and audit data on stock levels, service accuracy, staff productivity, and overtime to improve processes.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets for operations and capital.
• Follow up on documentation and procedures required for JCAHO and federal, state, and local agencies.
• Assist with staff evaluations and counseling as needed.
• Work closely with Materials Clerks and vendors to ensure timely availability of inventory items across multiple ORs.
• Coordinate with purchasing and vendors to ensure timely purchase and receipt of non-stock OR items.
• Procure replacement stock and non-stock products to meet OR needs.
• Assist OR Patient Care Coordinators in developing par levels for specialty areas.
• Develop action plans for OR inventory relocations.
• Routinely review par levels for stock and non-stock supplies in OSG and OR par locations.
• Assist Surgical Materials Clerks in resolving supply shortages.
• Ensure timely availability of all OR items and receipt of non-stock items.
• Examine products for quality, quantity, and accuracy against purchase orders.
• Assist with documentation and follow-up for surgical recalls, recording findings in recall software.
• Work with the FDA to ensure recalls are up-to-date and accurately filed.
• Assist with planning and implementing system-wide product conversions.
• Support the Obsolete Inventory Reduction Initiative.
• Print and review product labels for shelf/bin locations in OSG areas.
• Maintain and support handheld computers used for daily inventory purposes.
• Provide daily reports to ensure system and inventory integrity.
• Update par forms and requisitions as needed, including new labels and alphabetical listings.
• Demonstrate compliance with ChristianaCare policies, including safety, infection control, attendance, and dress code.
• Research and resolve causes of supply deficiencies, communicating shortages to appropriate staff.
• Perform assigned work safely and report unsafe conditions or hazards.
• Travel between Wilmington and Christiana ORs to maintain contact with Non-Stock Clerks.
• Work with Patient Care Coordinators to manage new products during efficacy trials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Graduate (Associate’s Degree preferred).
• Two years of experience in Material Distribution and two years in Perioperative Logistics.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Schedule

Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (may include weekends and holidays).

Pay

Hourly pay range: $22.29 - $33.44. The actual salary will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications related to the role.
