Immigration Paralegal - Minneapolis, MN
About the Role
Fredrikson & Byron, a premier Midwest-based law firm, is seeking a Paralegal to join our growing Immigration Law Department in our Minneapolis office, with the opportunity to work remotely in a hybrid environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, an interest in immigration law, and a passion for helping clients through the immigration process.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with attorneys to prepare employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, including H-1B, L-1, TN, PERMs, I-140, and I-485 petitions.
- Prepare family-based petitions and naturalization applications.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Organize and manage confidential client data, deadlines, and documents.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation.
- Monitor and track case progress to ensure timely filings and responses to USCIS.
- Assist attorneys with case management, including reporting needs and other duties.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Adobe, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of immigration-related case management databases is a plus.
- 2+ years' experience in immigration law or similar preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Pay
The estimated starting pay range is $45,000 - $72,500/year. Compensation will depend on experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
